George Stini Jr., who was assigned to the electric chair at the age of 14.
George is sentenced to life in prison for the murder of two white girls, Betty and Mary, aged 14 and 7, respectively.
The main evidence against George was that the bodies of the two girls were found near the house where George lived. Only white lawyers were in court at the time.
During the two-hour trial, George, who was holding a Bible, swore his innocence. But at a time when there was a white monopoly, white officials named little George, a black man, as the culprit.
Even George's parents will not be allowed to attend the trial. George's parents were deported from the city after the verdict.
Before being put to death in an electric chair, George was held in solitary confinement for 81 days. Finally, in 1944, he was put in an electric chair and killed by injecting 5380 volts of electricity into George's head.
The best story is that seventy years after he was sentenced to death, a judge in South Carolina proves with evidence that George is an innocent child.
